Enhance your spiritual practice with the natural beauty and function of our 3" Abalone Shell. With its iridescent interior and organic form, this shell is a stunning and practical tool for burning smudge sticks, loose herbs, or resin incense on charcoal.

Abalone shells are traditionally used in cleansing and purification rituals to represent the element of water, creating balance when used alongside the elements of fire (smudge or charcoal), earth (herbs/resins), and air (smoke). Their heat-resistant surface makes them ideal for catching ash while safely holding your burning material.

Features:

  • Natural abalone shell, approx. 3 inches (approximately)

  • Each piece is unique in color, shape, and texture

  • Heat-resistant surface, perfect for smudging or resin incense

  • Use with incense, palo santo, herbs, or charcoal and resin

  • A beautiful, oceanic touch for any altar or sacred space

Whether you use it for smoke cleansing or simply as a decorative piece, this shell offers both functionality and elemental symbolism to your rituals.

Product care & materials

How do I care for my jewelry?

Most of our jewelry is handcrafted with copper and natural crystals or gemstones. To keep your piece looking its best, avoid wearing it while swimming, showering, exercising, or using household cleaners. Try to keep perfumes, lotions, hairspray, and other chemicals away from the jewelry.

Copper naturally develops a patina over time, which is a normal part of the metal’s character. If you prefer a brighter finish, gently polish the copper with a soft jewelry polishing cloth.

Natural crystals and gemstones should be handled gently. Wipe them with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth rather than soaking them or using harsh jewelry cleaners, as some stones are porous or sensitive to moisture and chemicals.

When not being worn, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place, preferably in a pouch or separate compartment to help prevent scratching, tangling, and tarnishing.

What if I don't know my ring size?

If you’re unsure of your ring size, the easiest option is to measure a ring you already own that fits comfortably or use a ring-sizing tool.

You can also wrap a thin strip of paper or non-stretch string around the base of your finger, mark where the ends meet, and measure the length in millimeters. Compare that measurement to a US ring size chart.

For the most accurate fit, measure your finger at the end of the day when your hands are at their normal size, and avoid measuring when your hands are very cold or swollen.

If you’re between sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit.

What materials do your pieces use?

Our pieces are handcrafted using a mix of copper, wood, macramé cord, resin or epoxy, K9 glass beads, natural gemstones, and crystals.

Because many of these materials are natural or handmade, slight variations in color, grain, pattern, shape, and texture are normal. These differences are part of what makes each piece unique.
